About Shannon

I'd describe my personality as energetic, dynamic, and intuitive. I like tutoring because I love making one-on-one connections with people over intellectual pursuits. I'm looking for a job where I can use my intellectual abilities to help people make connections that better their lives. I've been working with kids one-on-one on and off for almost 10 years. I'm a visual artist and spend most of my spare time in the studio reading, researching, making prints, or editing photos. I'm also an avid gamer and I'm pretty involved in the local music scene. Families should know that I am a passionate civil rights advocate and will answer any students question honestly through this lens. My top three tutoring skills are my great communication ability especially in a one on one setting. I'm also able to understand individual needs and take a different approach based on the person I'm trying to learn with. I have a real passion for learning that my students tend to pick up and amplify.
