About Mercedes

Hello! I'm from Chicago. I went to the Art Institute of Chicago where I developed my art portfolio. I received a scholarship to attend Xavier University; I have a bachelors in fine art and a bachelors in education (K-12). My teaching license is current and up to date. I taught for seven years; one year at Saint Paul's in Florence, KY (K-8) where 656 students rotated through the art room a week. The other six years I taught with Sycamore (K-12). I've also worked in the restaurant industry for the past 22 years, as I've typically held multiple jobs. More recently, I graduated from Good Samaritan College of Nursing (RN), however I've chosen not to work in healthcare at this time. I've been nannying, tutoring and house managing for several years and am looking to increase my hours. My experience with children is threefold, as a sitter/nanny, educator and nursing professional.
