About Mariya

Most of my experience with children stems around educational programs or sports, so I thoroughly enjoy playing indoor games and love spending time with the kids outdoors playing! I have had six years of experience working as a camp counselor. I became a senior counselor and was responsible for managing larger group activities that included arts and crafts, sports, and choir. I was also a certified lifeguard and CPR professional for four out of those six years, which eventually lead to a summer swim teaching job. I also volunteered at the Pediatrics Care Unit on Friday evenings and learned a lot from the diverse pool of patients. I have done babysitting for former family friends and current work colleagues with children.
