About Mariah

I am 31 years old. I have a 4-year-old son. I have been caring for children from newborns up to adults with special needs. It is my passion of mine to work with children, as well as watch them grow and develop. I have my associates degree in Early Childhood Development, and my Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. While attending college I was a nanny, prior to nannying I worked with children in an after-school program, and a summer program (ages 5-10) for three years. During my last year of college I worked with children and adults with special needs. Once I graduated with my Early Childhood Education degree, I taught an online Special Education class for one year before switching to a career in Child Protective Services. I worked in Child Protective Services for a just shy of two years as a Foster Care Caseworker before moving to the Traverse City area. I am CPR and First Aid Certified.
