About Madalyn

Caring for older adults is deeply personal to me. I cared for my grandmother through her battle with Alzheimer's until she peacefully passed away at 98 years old, and I now help care for my 98-year-old grandfather, who has advanced dementia. These experiences have taught me that patience, love, and compassion are just as important as meeting physical needs. I believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity, no matter how many times they repeat a question or how difficult the day may be. I enjoy keeping their minds engaged through conversation, reading, drawing, music, gentle exercise, and walks when possible, always meeting them where they are. I have also cared for elderly clients with cancer, accompanying them to appointments, helping with daily care, offering companionship, praying with them if they wished, and making sure they always felt supported, understood, and never alone.
