About Delaney

Caring for others has been a part of my life from a very young age. My older brother had CDLS and Down syndrome, and I grew up helping care for him by getting him off the bus, changing his diaper, helping with his daily needs, and watching him after school. I spent five years as a lifeguard and swim instructor, where I worked with children of different ages, taught them how to swim, helped them overcome fears, and made sure they felt safe and confident. I also cared for my two nephews full-time for three months, one with Down syndrome and the other only 1-year-old. Outside of childcare, I regularly granny sit for my best friend's grandmother, who has dementia, and helped care for my papa while he was ill. These experiences have taught me patience, responsibility, compassion, and how to adapt to each person's needs. I truly enjoy caring for others and being someone families can trust, and I would love to bring that experience into a childcare role.
