About Lydia

Hi, I'm Lydia! I grew up traveling around the world with my large musical family. I began studying piano at four, and violin at 10. When I was 11, I got accepted into The Barthelmes Conservatory of Music where I studied for several years. I started teaching piano and violin when I was 15 years old. At 17, I got accepted on a full scholarship to The University of Tulsa. I played both piano and violin in the TU orchestra. I won several piano competitions as well as the faculty-voted Presser Foundation Award for the highest achieving music student. I also studied for a semester abroad in Russia. I graduated in 2020 with a double-major in Piano Performance and Russian Studies. Since then, I have worked at Tulsa Ballet, Oklahoma Music Academy, and Holy Family Classical School. But mostly I've continued teaching private piano lessons to students of all ages. I enjoy making personalized lesson plans, and passing on my knowledge to help others achieve their music goals!
