About Lisa

I am a writer, editor, social documentary photographer and US Navy veteran. I enlisted in 2012 as a mass communication specialist and worked as a broadcaster at AFN Misawa for three years. During my final year I was aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower as a videographer and occasional feature story writer. Prior to enlisting, I earned a Bachelors of Arts from Saint Edwards University in Austin, TX in 2010. I travel a great deal due to work and a restless nature. I am currently working on a collection of short stories, flash fiction and video shorts, all with the goal of entering a good graduate program to become a well-rounded adjunct professor and further her street cred for quirkiness. While on this journey, I want to help kids build their confidence in reading and writing which will translate into better grades.
