About Laura

I am a licensed and experienced high school teacher (ELA & Special Education) who also has experience tutoring elementary and middle school students. I earned my M. Ed. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I strive to provide a tutoring experience for your child that will build their skills, confidence, and love of learning. I'd describe my personality as caring, inquisitive, and goofy. I like tutoring because I love watching students develop their voice, confidence, and curiosity. I started tutoring when I was a freshman in college. In my spare time, I like to run, cook, and explore nature. My skills include intensive writing support and feedback, helping students build reading comprehension skills and strategies, and guiding students towards discovering their academic interests.
