About Kristen

I have been a teacher for over 12 years. I have my Master's Degree in Elementary Education and love teaching reading, writing and math at the K-4 level. I blend focused teaching with hands-on lessons to make tutoring fun and engaging. I'd describe my personality as caring, kind and friendly! I tutor for 1 hour sessions in the afternoons and early evenings. I started tutoring when I saw that some students needed support outside of the classroom setting. I saw that students who learned all parts of reading and math skills became happier, more confident and comfortable in school! One thing you should know about me is I am a skilled and experienced teacher. I love teaching and helping students become successful. My skills include teaching writing, reading comprehension and numeracy skills.
