Although I have been teaching first grade for the past eight years, my experience in working with students ranges from pre-k to fifth grade. I taught remotely during the Covid shut-down last year, so I am familiar with the challenges of on-line learning for students, teachers, and parents. I am highly organized, reliable, and most of all fun! I can provide focus, structure, and nurturing support for your young learners. Joann is AMAZING and we are so lucky that she was able to care for our baby girl for almost a year, before we moved out to California. She cared for our one year old full time, as well as for our two very energetic preschoolers on the days they were off from school. No small feat!! Joann made sure to prepare nutritious meals, kept the house neat and tidy, even did the laundry. But most importantly, she LOVED our daughter and taught her so many things. Our daughter was able to speak in full sentences before age 2 thanks for all the reading and singing and other activities she did with Joann. Joann also took her to activities, swimming, music class, the park, museums, etc. We trusted her 100% with the kids! She is a career teacher, warm, extremely patient, a kind and caring person. We miss her very much!
