About Jamyka

I am First Aid and CPR certified with hands-on experience supporting individuals of all ages and abilities. From February to November 2024, I worked as a Direct Support Staff at Autism Pride Center, where I assisted adults with Autism, Down Syndrome, and other intellectual disabilities in developing life skills and reaching personal goals. Since November, I've worked as a substitute teacher for CCSD, including assignments in special education classrooms, where I support students with diverse learning needs. Outside of work, I'm a proud aunt and great-aunt to nearly a dozen kids, so caregiving, patience, and providing a nurturing environment come naturally to me. While I'm comfortable with light meal prep and can prepare simple, nutritious meals, I'm not seeking a housekeeping-focused role. I'm ideally looking for a recurring position-or occasional support for special events-where I can provide thoughtful, engaging care, especially during weekends and the summer.
