Hello! My name is Ian and I graduated from Lincoln-Sudbury HS with a 3. 7 GPA, 34 ACT, and 3 APs (English, Calculus, Statistics). I also learned Spanish during a 9-month immersion program in Ecuador. I studied English at NYU (3. 7 GPA) before transferring to UMass Amherst during Covid-19, where I studied Political Economy and earned a 3. 7 GPA. I also worked 3 semesters as an ESL teacher and 1 year as a shelter caseworker. After graduating in 2022, I worked in communications, publishing several articles for a DC based non-profit. I then returned to MA, and have supported over 100 adolescents and adults in 2 years as a Mental Health Counselor at Bournewood Hospital. I also hold CPR and EMT certifications. I am confident that my experiences make me a qualified tutor, and that my passions for writing, history, and martial arts make me a motivating and engaging support for those around me.
