About Julie

Hi! I'm a PhD in Computer Science with a 2 year focus in computational geometry. Over the years, during and in between school and work as a software developer, I've accumulated 3+ years (2000+hours)of tutoring students of all ages, spanning 7th grade to adult. I have a passion for problem solving and algorithms and have found that tutoring fulfills this calling better than software development! I tutored at 2 junior colleges for 2 years while getting my Masters in Public Administration at University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA) at night. I tutored 4th-6th grade math, pre-algebra, algebra 1, algebra2, college level introduction to applied statistics, english, grammar, writing and research paper writing. I taught 1 year within the Computer Science Department at Boston College. I taught Data Structures and a 3 week crash course in Java. I also taught simulation and modeling in Excel to management students. I'm currently tutoring college applied statistics.
