About Halle

Hello! My name is Halle, and I am senior at Eastern Michigan University majoring in Secondary Education/English. As part of my practicum experience, I need to tutor a middle or high school student during the upcoming winter semester. I have relatively open availability; I just ask that the student is able to commit to one-hour weekly sessions via online for 12 weeks, starting the week of January 19th. I have experience in the classroom working as a substitute teacher. I also tutored nonnative speakers of English in Ypsilanti last winter. Additionally, I recently completed 30 hours observing a middle school ELA class. I believe that these experiences, alongside my current relevant classwork in teaching reading and writing, have taught me so much, and I look forward to learning even more in these tutoring sessions.
