About Erica

Experience: RN for 3 years. Nurse Tech for 7 years. Home Health Aide/In Home Caregiver for 7 years. Also, I have cared for my grandmother for the past 2 years due to her diagnosis of Parkinson s Disease. I am passionate about being a caregiver because I value my own health and wellness and thus it makes me feel privileged to help others maintain or improve their own. Maintaining as much independence as possible in older age is extremely important. My personal interests include: pets, hiking, & gardening. The main patient diagnosis I have cared for include: brain and spinal cord injury or illness, stroke, cerebral palsy, MS, joint replacement, multiple fracture, and dementia. Tasks included: monitoring of vital signs and blood sugar, assisting with ambulation, bathing, grooming, and eating, administration of medication, care of patients with devices such as: gastric tubes, IV s, catheters, tracheotomies, insulin or baclofen pumps, braces or casts, and wounds just to name a few.
