For the past 9 years, I have worked as an Elementary School Special Education Teacher, working with students with a range of disabilities and students without disabilities from Kindergarten through 6th Grade. I am able to provide grade level instruction to support access to the grade level curriculum, or provide extra support in specific areas to help close gaps, in reading/spelling, comprehension, math and writing. I am trained in the Orton Gillingham methodology, which is a research based method for providing reading and spelling instruction to students, including students with dyslexia.
