About Dani

I began caring for children when I was just 11. I started babysitting my baby brother, then all the little ones in the neighborhood. It has always been a very natural role for me and fun work that has always been a part of my life. I have 4 grown children (2 of whom have given me 3 grand babies!) whom I was fortunate to be able to home educate for 20 years. For half of that time I hosted a co-op that included up to 8 other children of all ages (babies, too!), and several with learning challenges, ADHD and on the autism spectrum. For several years I was the garden educator at an elementary school in Portland with the most languages spoken- 19 at the time. I feel very fortunate to have had all of experiences with such a variety of people, little and grown and look forward to many more! I am currently self-employed doing residential cleaning and want to continue in service, but I would love to find another part-time position working with the little ones again!
