I have years non-paid and ~2 years paid experience tutoring in varied settings--one-on-one, in huge classrooms assisting a primary teacher, and in small-group settings. Last year I was a long-term substitute teacher for the full academic year, so I really was able to get acquainted with the full glory of being a full-time teacher. Although I had years of tutoring experience under my belt, teaching 7th graders for a year helped me further understand and develop different ways of presenting concepts that are engaging and compatible with students' learning styles. I have the best understanding when it comes to developing STEM lesson plans and projects, but I can also tutor in English & Spanish.
