About Ash

I love and appreciate children! I have been nannying for over 18 years and have worked with all age groups. I encourage kids to "get off the couch" (unless we are building forts or intentionally relaxing), take kids outside, explore nature and the neighborhood, play games, work on art, read, help with homework, help children grow (with education and life lessons that are age appropriate), be attentive to children's basic needs, incorporate music and creativity, and help kids be more responsible and independent. That often includes letting the child lead in their exploration and curiosity. As well, I find it important to help kids work on healthy communication, critical thinking, compassion, and emotional intelligence. I am very responsible, clear on boundaries, kind, patient, fun and tidy. My experience has also been proven in my many years substitute teaching, teaching dance and tutoring. To let you know in advance, I am vegan and don't cook meat, though I can heat it up. Thanks!
