About Amy

I'd describe my personality as responsible, patient, and passionate. I like tutoring because I have a passion for teaching and learning, I am knowledgeable in my subject areas (science), and I love making a positive impact on my students. I'm looking for a job that is supportive of me as an educator and my students. I started tutoring when I was in high school. I'm also a veteran science teacher. I'm certified to teach biology, chemistry, earth science, physics, and general science in NY and in NJ. I've taught all core science subjects and my students have always performed well. In my spare time, I like to cook and bake, hike, and visit NYC to see shows. One thing you should know about me is I have a great rapport with my students. My skills include subject matter expertise, effective communication skills, and thoughtful & organized lesson planning.
