About Alissa

Hi there! :) My name is Alissa, often referred to as Ms. Atwood. I attended Weber State University in Utah and received a bachelors degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Spanish. I also received my Masters Degree from Arizona State University in Special Education (Mild-Moderate Disabilities). I was an Elementary School Teacher for 6 years. I have taught Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade (all subject areas). My last two years of teaching were as Resource Special Education Teacher for all grade levels Kindergarten - 6th grade. I supported students inside their general education classroom as well as inside the special education classroom dependent on their individualized education plan. I have taught in Utah, New York, and Arizona. Most of my teaching has been at Title 1 Charter Schools or dual language Public Schools. I recently left the classroom but am still looking to support students in their learning. I look forward to helping you and your child.
