Hello, I'm looking for an aide to help with my son, age 10, who has Autism Spectrum Disorder and a speech delay. He is high functioning but has trouble productively working and playing independently, so am looking for someone to keep him busy and active, -- for example, taking him to scheduled activities (swimming lessons, sports), taking him out to get exercise and for fun (trampoline park, biking, trip to local park, etc.), help with homework, etc. You could also help him perform chores and activities that he will need for future independence (grocery shopping, putting away toys/clothes, etc.). Our schedule is flexible; currently, we really need help on weekends, but there is a potential for weekday work in the future as well. We are looking for someone to attend school one-on-one with a special needs child (on the autism spectrum) and work with them certain days after school and two Saturdays per month to help them attend and attain academic proficiency and independence at school, help them build independence skills, and work with them on homework and after school activities to help them integrate and participate. I'm looking for a great babysitter for my 10-year-old M. We would prefer someone who could help out with light housekeeping/ meal prep (very low key--like heating up a pizza!) I have a cat and a puppy; you would need to take the puppy out on a leash every couple hour during the evening. M. is lots of fun but does have mild autism. Her behavior is typically good, and she is very verbal!

Hi! I am looking for summer care for my 6-year-old son. I work from home and we live in an apartment, so I am trying to find a way to help him get out of the house and enjoy summertime when I am unable to do so. I also have a daughter, 7, with Autism - but I am only looking for care for my son as my daughter should be in summer camp daily. I am thinking either M/W/F ($120/wk) or T/TR ($80/wk) for 3 hours/day. Just enough to take him to the pool, the park, etc. Just something that gets him OUT and burns some energy. I would love ideas.
