Part Time $11 – 15/hr Starts 08/10 Pulaski, VA
We have a very large, very blended family. We both brought children into our marriage and we foster children as well. We have two big but friendly and well mannered dogs. We are looking for a part time nanny to help be some extra hands and eyes in the evenings. This would include light housework, meal planning/assistance, transporting to appointments and/or sporting activities. There are a total of 8 kids in the house, 4 of those kids come and go with visitation to their other parents. Care is mainly needed for the 4 foster kiddos currently placed with us. Our youngest kiddo is medically fragile. She has an NG tube to which she gets three feedings a day (but will be in school for two of them) and she is type 1 diabetic. Someone with medical knowledge is preferred. We are a Christian family and have Christian values. The foster kiddos placed with us have expressed their are agnostic and atheist. We are leading by example but must respect individual beliefs and must not force our beliefs on children placed in care. We are very structured and organized. We utilize color coding, the kids have assigned colors for items in the house and calendar activities. We have a planner and have strict routines. They need help with social skills, hygiene, following directions, transportation, healthy eating habits and medical care. Education in caring for Type 1 Diabetes and NG tube care and feedings. Full Time $12 – 20/hr Starts 08/15 Camp Hill, PA
My husband and I have very strong morals and religious values. We value family time and making sure there is plenty of bonding time to be had with our little family to be. We do not watch a lot of tv and plan on not relying on electronics or television to aid in the savior for our child if he is not responding to other sources of comfort. Education is very important to us, as I am a teacher and my husband is an academic advocate as well. We want to make sure there is plenty of time for reading, playing and family bond time. We are a very active family and plan to be with our son as well. We enjoy hiking, walking and being outside. There is a playground right outside of our apartment building and we cannot wait to play outside with our little one! The daily basics of feeding, diaper changing, care and love, reading and singing would be ideal! A friendly personality that spreads happiness and joy to others as we want our child to be a happy and healthy baby with a loving family surrounding him daily. Singing and/or ability to play and instrument would be a huge bonus! We have a large parking lot on both sides of the building in which you can park all day with no worries or complications. We have one dog. Her name is Coraline. She is a mixed breed, Australian Shepard and a Border Collie. She is full of energy and her temperament changes on the day. She is very loving but has her moments where she wants her space and doesn't want love. She is great with people and other animals but she tends to get very excited easily and has a tendency to pee. We have had her at training and responds very well to commands. She loves treats and food in general. If that is an option, she will do anything for a treat or food, such as: sit, down, stay, come, place (which we put her in her hammock bed when she needs to relax or you might need some space). She is a very submissive dog and will offer her belly all the time for pets and rubs. She sometimes does an happy grumble when you do this.
