About who needs care: My mother has been living alone since the death of her husband 2012. She is 91, drives, shops for herself, does self-sufficiency cooking, read a lot. Her medical/physical issues are hx of 2 knee replacements, partial shoulder replacement, type II Diabetes, stiff/slow gait. Uses a hurry cane past 2 years. Recently she had bought of extreme low iron deficiency and needed blood transfer 2 wks ago with good results. Because of mobility issues she has difficulty bathing, safely. She has geriatric tub with "door style' opening for elderly. Her mental health is good, she has limited personal social network. During the day she gets up mid-morning, has coffee, reads newspapers, then "plans the day' which includes some basic necessity shopping, trips to library.
About the care needs: Female, personable, not someone who rushes. Good command of English.
Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
