My dad has a neurodegenerative disease called spinocerebellar ataxia type 14. This impacts his balance and walking also memory and cognition. He had a hip surgery 6 weeks ago that he is still recovering from. He is not able to drive at this time (possibly ever) so we are looking for someone who can come two to three days a week and take him to the event for the water aerobics class and maybe the store or lunch or the orting senior center. He doesn't need assistance with any personal care.
My dad was a high school teacher for over 30 years. He is very social. He loves talking about the outdoors, fishing, hunting, animals.
We're looking for someone who has experience with memory and cognitive deficiencies
My dad lives with my family, we also have two dogs, Copper a red boned hound and June a chocolate lab and two cats, Peter and Sugar.
