Seeking Part-time Senior Care Provider - This is actually for my...

Part Time $13 – 18/hr Starts 01/27 Hutto, TX
About who needs care: This is actually for my uncle. He is 66 years old, but is mentally disabled and is having some physical difficulties. He uses a walker, has a handicap shower, and cannot cook for himself (other than things like Ramen, instant macaroni, heating up leftovers - very simple foods). Looking for someone that can come stay with him a few hours a day, typically on Tuesdays, but can vary between then or Wednesdays or Thursdays. Maybe make him some lunch, watch a movie with him (he loves sci-fi the most), keep him company for a little while. We do have 2 dogs - a 2-year-old Labrador and a 2-year-old Husky, both spayed females, both very lovable and friendly. Would also like to find someone that would be able to come when we go on vacation, and are unable to take him with us, for longer periods of time; possibly overnight, if possible. Make sure he takes his medicine twice a day, takes a shower every couple of days, eats 3 times a day, etc. Hoping to find someone that would be open to both because he hates change. So, introducing him to multiple people is hard. He loves to play the guitar and the flute. Is teaching himself the harmonica. Loves to draw and read (Stephen King is his favorite author), he drinks tons of coffee, he likes to watch Westerns, History and Sci-Fi. He's a bit of a mumbler sometimes, but is the sweetest gentle giant you'll ever meet. About the care needs: Please be patient and kind. Must love dogs. Can't get frustrated with him for being slow or discount him if he talks about things that make no sense. Allow him to choose what to watch, don't ignore him. Never ask him if he's hungry; he always thinks he is putting someone out and will say no. Just take the initiative and make him something to eat. Be his friend more than his caretaker, he gets mad because "he's old enough to stay home alone!". Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
