About who needs care: My husband has stage 4 prostate cancer and is getting treatment from his Oncologist. He was in the hospital for some weeks due to dehydration and unable to swallow food before it comes back up. He has a feeding tube in his stomach where I help him feed 4x a day. When he came home from the hospital, he was weak and unable to walk for long lengths at a time. He's starting PT and OT to get his strength back and practicing his routine will help. About the care needs: Personality: not bossy, militant, not demanding. He'll react better to someone who's understanding and gently pushes him forward with specific goals (ie: drinking water, trying to eat, using walker, being more independent) but not all the time. Encouragement but not false outcomes, he's still very sharp. And most of all, treats him like the grown-up man that he is to preserve what dignity and pride he has left. Services needed include: transportation, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.

The majority of the house is carpet so you'll need a good vacuum, especially for the stairs. Other than the bath room, kitchen, and vestibule with our tile everything else is carpet.
