We both work from home and just need someone to watch/play with our 1-year-old son while we work. We are looking for someone to play and read to him during the day. We need help 2 days a week for 6-7ish hours each day and are flexible on which days of the week you prefer, as long as it's consistent. His schedule is loosely: eats breakfast 8:30-9:30ish, plays until about 11-12. Naps from 11:30-1:30, eats lunch, then plays until about 2:30/3 and that usually wraps the day. We have Wi-Fi and tv you're welcome to use during naps/downtime, during which of course you will get paid. About who needs care: He is bedridden with a catheter. He wears diapers and needs to be changed when he has a bowel movement. He does not ever get out of bed so there is no extra equipment. He needs meals prepared but he can feed himself with his spoon grip except cereal and soup. Those things need to be fed to him. My mother is in the house but she has dementia and forgets to take care of him. About the care needs: Someone with a good sense of humor and who can change him and be able to move him around in the bed. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.

My family needs a part-time caregiver in the area of Roanoke. My husband has a spinal cord injury; he is quite independent, but needs support with stretching, exercise and transfers between surfaces; this does not require much heavy lifting, but mostly spotting him. He also needs help with putting on his compression socks. Please be willing to do some housekeeping. You'd be responsible for transporting my husband to/from his job and our 5-year-old daughter to school. Occasional willingness to babysit would be wonderful, especially Saturday mornings.
