My name is Vanessa and I have a passion for child and foreign language education. I hold a Master's degree and have nearly 20 years of nannying and babysitting experience. Besides caretaking, I also tutor and teach English, Italian, and Spanish to students of all ages both privately and in a university setting. I love helping families and spending time with children of all ages, and I am happy to incorporate my linguistic and teaching skills while on the job! I am CPR certified in Pediatric First Aid by the American Heart Association and have a valid passport and driver's license should any emergency care, travel, or driving be needed.

Vanessa took great care of our 9 month old son while we visited Disneyland. He took to her immediately! She was very warm and sweet to him. She asked appropriate questions and kept us updated throughout the day. She was proactive and helped do laundry at the hotel while we were at the park (teething baby). We were so happy to find Vanessa as a sitter for our 18-month-old daughter. She is kind, responsive and spoke Spanish (which our daughter loves as she is in a Spanish immersion daycare). Vanessa handled our daughter’s separation anxiety very well and we will be happy to have her back in the future!

Vanessa is a sweet and extremely caring person who found a connection immediately with our son. Not only is she prompt and highly communicative but her experience shines whenever we need her to babysit for our toddler. Our favorite traits to her care is the gentle and patient approach she has, as well as finding ways to make our child feel safe and well looked after no matter how long the day is spent with him. She is so genuine in everything she does. Grateful to have found this great sitter. 

We had a fabulous experience with Vanessa while visiting family in LA. My 15 month old quickly became her biggest fan. She took initiative and did not need a lot of guidance, but was comfortable asking questions when needed. Vanessa picked up the routine right away, took my soon to the park every morning, and kept him entertained all day. Thank you for a fantastic week! 

Vanessa is absolutely incredible, she filled in for our nanny who was out for surgery! She was so patient, kind and attentive with our daughter, not to mention she is smart and empathetic. Do not hesitate to hire Vanessa, you won’t regret it!

Vanessa is incredible! She cared for our young daughter during a very tumultuous/transitional time for our family while we prepared to move out of town and while our young daughter was dealing with a high level of separation anxiety. Vanessa cared for our daughter so amazingly well under way less than ideal circumstances and we couldn’t be more grateful for for her professionalism, expertise and grace.

Vanessa was an absolute hit with our little one and made us feel so at ease as well. She was kind, caring and went out of her way with personal touches to make everyone feel comfortable. As an added bonus, her fluency in multiple languages and teaching were such a wonderful addition and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience 

Vanessa helped care for our 2 year old daughter over a four day period.  Our little girl took to Vanessa immediately.  Vanessa provided constant and gentle attention.  Weeks later our daughter still refers to the games they played together.  Thanks Vanessa!  Look forward to working with you again!

We were in LA for one week with our 18month old son. Vanessa was amazing! We had travelled from Europe for work and I felt nervous about leaving him with a stranger but I felt immediately at ease with Vanessa. They had lots of fun, communication and was great and there was no stress! Highly recommend Vanessa - a lovely person and great sitter 

From the moment she walked in the door our 18 month old loved her, and then obviously so did we! She was sweet, caring, fun, dependable...everything that a parent and child could wish for! Will definitely be hiring her again next time we're in LA and have already recommended her to all our LA friends. She also speaks 3 languages and tutors which is amazing and we are a trilingual family so it was perfect!

Vanessa looked after my 13 month old son while I was in Boston for a conference. I was a little nervous at first about leaving him with a stranger. But after meeting her and seeing her interact with him, I lost all hesitation. She entertained him both inside and outside the hotel room, keeping him busy and engaged all day. As well as getting him to stick to his schedule. 

I have absolutely no hesitation recommending Vanessa and would gladly give her a reference. We will definitely be looking her up if we are in Boston again

Vanessa has always replied to emails, calls and texts in a timely fashion.  She has been available when I need her.  My one year old son really seems to like her.  He seems very well taken care of while spending time with Vanessa. :)
