About Vanessa

I am CPR certified, Pediatric First Aid certified, and certified through KCCTO's child health and safety course. I've been working with children for 5+ years, and have spent over a year working at an official capacity in a Montessori school. I have copious experience with children aged between 3 months and 12 years. I am currently in my second year of college working towards a degree in child development. Three words to describe me are patient, fun, and flexible. Taking care of children is my passion, and I love watching them blossom and develop their skills. In childcare I take a gentle, Montessori based approach to dealing with big emotions and difficult behaviors. I believe that learning happens best outside the classroom and I put a lot of emphasis on building skills (motor and social) in a way that follows the child's innate desire to explore.
