About Ty

I've been working as a tutor for grade school children in all subjects for the last 4 years. I've worked with students who have learning disabilities and those who are gifted. I've also worked with students who are struggling in a particular subject. I am an approachable, patient, and friendly person with a good sense of humour. I enjoy tutoring people because of the personal rewards that it provides for the student and myself and I have learnt how to interact with students and keep them engaged during their extra hours of teaching. Most of my experience tutoring has been with people who struggle with the content that they are learning so I try to relate their interests to the subject, i. e. music, animals etc. I like to keep a positive vibe during sessions, so that the person feels good about themselves and what they are learning.
