I like tutoring because I love seeing children receive the personalized care they need in order to succeed academically. Watching children build up their academic confidence as they build an internal sense of security when tackling difficult subjects brings me so much joy. No child is dumb or slow; patience and understanding is key. I started tutoring when I became the oldest cousin. I've always been advanced academically. I started 1st grade at 3 and graduated high school at 16. In between then I've helped many of my family members and even peers with class work, homework, projects, etc. In my spare time, I like to learn new things and help people. I'm always learning new, random information. I usually absorb so much of a topic that I end up educating other beginners who are curious about similar topics. My skills include math (up to high school level), reading/reading comprehension (up to high school level), beginner Spanish, and elementary science.
