I'd describe my personality as patient, kind-hearted, and flexible. I like tutoring because I get to have the individual time with a student and see their growth and success. I have been teaching preschool, 1st, 2nd, and sped for 20 years and it's difficult in classes of 25+ to get to everyone. I truly enjoy hearing how the student is doing, where their challenges are, and what is/is not working for them. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family. I have a soon to be Senior in high school (time really does fly). I also like to hike, go to the dog park (with Marley & Nellie), and read. My skills include -determining what skills are the biggest challenge at that moment. -knowing when to push harder and pull back with the work. -making it fun!
