I have been a babysitter since I was in middle school, I started nannying when I was 16 and have had one long term nannying jobs and two summer nannying jobs. My most recent position was a full-time nanny of 3 kids ages 2, 3, and 4 (foster and adoptive children), as well as part-time care of school age children. The three youngest all had behavioral issues due to prenatal cocaine exposure. For the last 8 years I've been working in development disability services. I worked up to supervisor of a medical model group home after years of direct care in group homes, pediatric home care and community living sites as well as adult day program. I most recently was a Regional Residential Program Manager for a company providing host home and independent living services. I learned I liked management less than the work, so looking for new work with people and children again.
