About Taryn

Hello! My name is Taryn. I love teaching, exploring outside and being around kids. I have worked in a variety of settings with children; including as a nanny for 7 years, at Children's Hospital in their diagnostic classroom for 5 years and as a Pre-K teacher at Pepitas Bilingual Preschool for the last 13 years. As a nanny, I worked with kids 6 weeks to 7 years-old. I worked with 7 families, 2 of those families I worked with for over 5 years. I worked closely with parents to establish sleep, eat and play routines, developed and implemented age and developmental level appropriate activities for each child including art, science, reading, imaginative play, fine and gross motor play, school readiness activities and the natural world; assisted each child in problem solving through techniques such as emotion coaching, validation, and by instructing them in replacement skills and I created daily written summaries for each child's schedule, experiences, and accomplishments.
