About Sydney

Hello everyone! I am a graduate student at Virginia Commonwealth University, pursuing a doctoral degree in Child Clinical Psychology. Prior to my graduate studies, I spent two years as an elementary and middle school English Language Arts teacher in Detroit, Michigan, after graduating from Spelman College in 2020. I am passionate about making learning enjoyable and helping youth become the best academic learners they can be. I pride myself on creating a warm and safe environment for the children I work with, taking the time to understand their interests, and incorporating them into the learning process to keep them engaged and make the material relatable. I am eager to support your child's learning journey and work together to establish attainable goals to enhance their academic strength and confidence.
