About Susan

I will bring with me experience of 35 years of teaching, 5 years of being a nanny ( from birth to 5 years of age) and 23 years of motherhood. I have tutored 1-8 grade students for 24 years. I have a bachelor degree in elementary education with a minor in cross categorical disabilities (special education). I hold a teaching certificate in both area. I have one class to complete to hold a certification in reading. Math is my favorite subject. I make learning enjoyable and never give up on my students. I believe that everyone can learn when the material is presented in a way that is easiest for them to understand. I show respect to my students and parents. Therefore, in return earn their respect. I am reliable, hard working and honest person. I have a great sense of humor and believe that laughter is the best medicine.
