About Susan

Hello! My name is Susan. I'm 50 years old and a mother of three wonderful (mostly adult) children. I enjoy hiking/walking, gardening, hula dancing, sewing, spending time with my family and hanging out with my dog. I have an extensive background in childcare beyond motherhood. I taught ballet classes to children ages 2-10, taught childbirth education classes, worked as a birth doula, worked in early education as a 3-4-year-old teacher and I have been a school nurse for nearly a decade in the Shoreline School District. As a parent, I volunteered in co-op preschool and elementary schools. I've had a lifelong passion for childcare and child development. Although I enjoy my current nursing work, I miss working with infants and young children especially now that my children are older.
