About Stephanie

I am an award winning educator who teaches English to junior and senior public high school students. I have taught in Guilford County Schools for 13 years. For four summers, I taught philosophy at NC Governor's School East. I have experience as an adjunct English instructor at NCA&TSU and a teaching assistant at the University of Chicago. I earned a B. A. from Columbia University in English Language and Literature with minors in African American Studies and Creative Writing. I also hold a Master's degree in Humanities from the University of Chicago. I am passionate about empowering students to discover more about themselves and others through reading and discussion-based learning. I have more than 20 years of experience helping students apply to college.
