Hello! My name is Rachael. I am new to NC from Massachusetts. Back in MA, I was an English Language Arts teacher for 5 years with additional licenses in Special Education and Sheltered English Immersion for grades 5-12. In addition to classroom teaching experience, I worked for a tutoring agency that specialized in test prep (SAT, ACT, SSAT, and ISEE) and college essay writing. I am currently a graduate student at UNCG working on my second Master's degree. As a part of my scholarship, I teach an undergraduate writing class. I've tutored students as young as 6 years old and as old as 24 years old in a variety of subjects. Literacy opens doors for everyone, and I am passionate about sharing strategies to enhance literacy to students of all ages, stages, and backgrounds.
