About Shenikki

I am currently an English Instructor at the college level and have over 19 years of teaching experience. Not only do I have a graduate degree in English Education and School Administration, I am trained in Orton-Gillingham multi-sensory method for reading. I am licensed in English and Special Education with experience working with a variety of student demographics (Honor, STEM, Home Hospital, Behavior/Academic/OHI IEP). I am passionate about growing students' confidence and self-efficacy as they grasp the skills necessary to be successful in reading and writing by collecting data to show them their progress! I'd describe my personality as personable, calm, focused. I like tutoring because I love building confidence and skills. I'm looking for a job that works with a small group of students or individual students. I started tutoring in 2005. In my spare time, I like to work out, read, watch old movies.
