About Shannon

Hi there! I'm Shannon. During the school year, I work as a prevention specialist - teaching kindergarten through 8th-grade students in Philadelphia about drug and alcohol awareness, healthy life choices, violence prevention, and sustainable mental health. During the summer I miss teaching little ones so much! In my spare time, I love to hike, read, cook, and to stay collected I do a lot of yoga. I have clearances available and a Bachelor's Degree in creative writing and peace studies. When I spend time with kids, I like to stay connected and mindful by planning engaging activities, taking trips to spend time outside, and practicing all kinds of healthy habits. I am happy to get a COVID test before a meeting, I'm knowledgeable about pet care as well, and I'm comfortable helping with virtual school on any platform! Looking forward to hearing from you!
