I have 4 years of experience in education (2 as a sub, 1 as an EA, and 1. 5 as a classroom teacher), plus several years experience as a tutor prior to that. I am a fully certified K-8 teacher with a BA in International Studies and an MA in Linguistics. Language is my passion and my strengths are teaching phonics, reading, and writing. I am also very comfortable with elementary math and science. I am a very artistic person and spend most of my free time creating art that I sometimes sell. I love doing craft projects and incorporating them into school plans. I grew up playing multiple musical instruments, so I am able to teach basic music skills such as reading music.
