Hi there!! My name is Sam and I'm currently a 2nd Grade teacher in Metro Nashville Public Schools, where I have taught for the past 4 years. I have a M. Ed in Elementary Education, BA in History, and BM (Bachelor's of Music) in Classical Voice. I'm certified to teach Math, English, Phonics, Science, Social Studies, and Music to grades K-6, but I have experience teaching upper grades as well. Owing to my musical background, I can give voice and piano instruction. I am also able to tutor Spanish for lower/middle grades. I love tutoring because it gives me the opportunity to build a more unique relationship with my student than I would in a classroom setting. I'd describe my personality as optimistic, task-oriented, fun-loving, and passionate In my spare time, I like to sing in barbershop choruses and quartets with my friends! I also enjoy taking walks with my wife and doing yard work around the house.
