About Betsy

Hello! My name is Elisabeth, but I go by Betsy. My goal is to cultivate a learning culture that children will individually thrive in through question asking and creativity. I was a teacher in a classical education elementary school for 3 years working predominantly with k-3rd grade. My focus was in reading, math, art, music, penmanship, hands-on-skills and Christian studies. Further, I was an in-home private tutor for 3 years for students with Down's syndrome and volunteered working with special needs for many years before that. In those positions I created individualized curriculum to match each students needs. I have a B. A. in Biblical Studies and a M. A. in Clinical Counseling. I am also a certified children's yoga teacher and love bringing yoga and music into the places that I work! Teaching children and watching them grow is one of my greatest joys!
