About Samarah

Hello, my name is Samarah! I have been for working with kids for about 3 years! I was introduced to child care, by interning at a church for 6 weeks in the summer. It was such a blast. From there, I have worked at a preschool in Houston, for 2 years as a substitute teacher. This is very important as I have learned many skills. Social emotional skills, routine, CPR certification, age-appropriate activities, etc. ( I love psychology and such so it has been fascinating to observe techniques from experienced teachers.) Last fall I worked with a nonprofit organization, that aims to help low income schools understand emotional intelligence. I worked with 8th graders. I taught them helpful breathing techniques, parts of the brain, self reflection and regulation, and just got to know them. With all that being said, it has been such a blast working with all age types. I love to just hang out and do activities! Thank you for taking the time to read my profile!
