About Rachel

I graduated from the University of Oklahoma in May of 2022 with a B. S. in Special Education. Following graduation, I worked as an elementary special education resource teacher full-time. I then worked as a pre-kindergarten teacher at a Reggio-Emilia inspired preschool for 2 years. This past school year I was a 5th grade special education collaborative teacher, focused on Reading/Language Arts and History, Dyslexia Intervention, and some executive functioning and behavior support. During my time teaching, I babysat and tutored on the side. Recently, I decided to pivot from teaching into a full time nanny role. I am so excited about this career shift. I am hoping to still babysit and tutor on the side. I love to create experiences for children that invites them to learn through play or interest-driven experiences, whether it's academics, critical thinking or problem-solving skills, or social/emotional learning. Rachel is trustworthy and dependable. She has helped with my three children over the last two years and they (we!) love her. She's responsive, punctual, reliable, and honest. She not only takes great care of the kids but also really plays - everything from dolls and crafts to basketball and swimming.
