About Rio

Hello, my name is Rio. I enjoy building safe and supportive connections with the individuals and families I work with. I began doing care work 5 years ago for a neighbor nearing the end of his life and have kept doing it since. I have experience working with people recovering from surgeries, brain injuries, stroke, hospice care and dementia care. I have also supported adults of all ages living with various disabilities. I believe everyone deserves adequate care & support to live fully. I also have experience working with elementary and middle school aged children as a tutor and dance instructor. This experience positions me well to support with child care, staying active, and rehabilitation exercises. When I am not doing care work, I work as a Spanish Medical Interpreter, and pursue my artistic passions in dance performance.
