About Rinchen

Rinchen provided live-in care for my parents from November of 2017 to January of 2023. She was outstanding in this role and was such a blessing for my parents and our whole family. Rinchen is remarkably kind, empathetic, patient and loving. She provided all meals, help with bathing and dressing, administered medication, monitored blood pressure and all other miscellaneous items associated with their care. She also provided light housekeeping. Most importantly she was a loving companion for them both. My father was suffering from fairly severe dementia at the end of his life. Rinchen was so patient with him, even when he needed to be reminded 10 times to come to the dinner table, or when he was up all hours of the night. When he passed away in February 2022 at 97, Rinchen was heartbroken. At his memorial, she said he was her best friend. This was more than I could have ever dreamed of in a care giver. My mother was much easier to care for, but Rinchen still went above and beyond, walking with my mom sometimes twice a day. They were famous in her neighborhood… the 98-year-old out on long walks with her loving care giver. In addition to caring for her physical health, Rinchen engaged my mom every day to tell stories from her past. She kept her both physically and mentally engaged. I believe that Rinchen was instrumental in keeping my parents active, healthy and happy to the very end of their very long lives. Any family or individual would be lucky to have her as a care giver.
